Transcendent Power: How to bring your (real) a-game to your work and life!
What is Transcendent Power?
As I’m at my dining room table on this cold Sunday morning, sipping on one of the better cups of coffee I have made for myself in a while, a word came to mind:
Transcendence
Why this word? Maybe it’s because of what I currently feel in my body at the moment. I have a sense of calm and presence.
The thoughts in my mind seem to have found their space on my mental bookshelf, organized – neat.
As my eyes gaze through the window observing the the way the sun is kissing the beautiful 2 day old snowfall in my backyard, transcendence has become my word this morning.
But, it is not alone. Another word enters my mind as well.
Power
As I sit with both words, conjoining them together, the term Transcendent Power has become the focus for today’s article.
So, what exactly is “Transcendent Power”?
To explore this term, like with anything in my opinion, it’s best to break it down in its simplest form.
To do that, let’s take a look at both word’s definition by itself.

Tran·scend·ence /ˌtran(t)ˈsendəns/ – the act of rising above something to a superior state.
Transcendence comes from the Latin prefix trans, meaning “beyond,” and the word scandare, meaning “to climb.”
When you achieve transcendence, you have gone beyond ordinary limitations <- that’s cool.
Pow·er /ˈpou(ə)r/
1 : possession of control, authority, or influence over others. 2 :the ability to act or produce an effect. It’s in your power to change things. < – also cool.
As a person who catapulted himself from let’s just say, not your ideal domestic upbringing, while wrestling a cultural identity throughout high school (what does it mean to be “mixed”) and dealing with bullying to boot (long story),
AND with a nagging inner between my ears whispering to me constantly “you’re not very smart” (school didn’t come easy to me),
AND with a douse of shame encasing me like a low grade fever that never broke (due to me questioning if I was a good enough son, brother, student, Christian, and overall person), my method of “making it” in life was to…
throw “everything against the wall and see what stuck”.
In fact, if I were to identify a phrase that defined how I “made it” out of any self-defeating trap during my teens and early twenties, it would be this:
“I will not be denied!”
I needed to transcend my current situation and power my way through to the “other side”.
But “powering” your way through anything isn’t sustainable, and the feeling of “white knuckling” your way to success, although necessary at times, doesn’t feel great.
That isn’t the Transcendent Power I am talking about….that is just force.
Imagine a motor boat. It operates with an engine and fuel.
It can force its way through even the choppiest of waters, leaving the operator of such vessel to “white knuckle” their way towards their destination.
Now imagine a majestic sailboat and a sunny day. It operates with the power of the wind.
The operator knows how to work with the currents of the wind to propel itself forward. It’s a synergistic experience and it’s beautiful to watch.
There is a reason you have heard of the term, “smooth sailing.” That’s T.P. (transcendent power).
An energetic charge that brings all of who you are to “the game,” but without guilt, shame, blame, toleration, indecision, or fear. Just opportunity, wisdom, faith, joy, and understanding.
It is energy efficient and runs on the most powerful force of all, LOVE.
Dutiful “Heart Centered” High Performers run on love, a nurturing energy that performs with compassion.
When you mix love and duty together, you start to transcend the ordinary.

Combining that with the following recipe below, you will start to understand just how powerful you are and believe that you were designed to do extraordinary things, despite the challenges of your past.
The Transcendent Power Recipe
Cultivating Transcendent Power so that you can leave our unique stamp on the world through our professional work takes the following ingredients:
- Love
- Passion
- Wisdom
- Faith
- Authenticity
Mix that all in a bowl and glue it together with GRACE, oh man…… you have just elevated your game ten fold!
Grace creates space for forgiveness and it is within forgiveness that you will come from a brave place.
You know when you are there because you will transcend any fear you have for you being your authentic self, and you can bring you wherever you want.
There is no fear in love and the bravest thing you can do is love yourself enough to be able to love others as designed.
Become fearless. Be bold. Be you, without apology, because its YOU that we need.
Bringing Your Game with T.P.
There is THE GAME that you play and there is YOUR GAME that only you are uniquely stitched with to bring to the table.
You have an A – Game. We all do. But you also have an A++ Game and in order to tap into it, you will need to transcend your current level of thinking, and learn how to shift between your… head, heart, and soul!
If you want to transcend the ordinary to create extraordinary outcomes that make your soul sing, and feel good all of the time, you have to be willing to WANT to feel that way – all – of – the – time.
Is THAT possible? Can you bring it ALL together? Can you create more mores with less stress and sustain it for the rest of your life?
YES. It will require work. Deep, inner work. It will seem impossible until it doesn’t. But you can do impossible. That’s what you were built for. I can prove it.
